    Cross-country skiing in Ischgl in the Tyrol means peaceful circuits in a steady rhythm, gently gliding and breathing in deeply the fresh and clear mountain air.

    The Paznaun valley presents ideal conditions for cross-country skiing fans and a big choice of different trails surrounded by a impressive mountain world. 35km of perfectly prepared trails of all difficulty levels bring you through marvellous wintry natural landscapes. All variants and trails range from 1377 to 2036 meters sea level, some even extent into the neighbouring region Vorarlberg.

    It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or a professional because here in Ischgl everybody can shake a leg. And no matter if you are doing some gentle or challenging cross-country skiing,  one thing is for sure, fitness and coordination are developed in equal measure, as are all the muscles in your body – the ideal training for heart, mind and the whole body.

    In addition to the classic track, there is also a wider area for skating, the faster and more intense variant of cross-country skiing.

    Track tips:

    Ischgl Loipe (Blue)
    Length: 5 km | Total gradient: 40 elevation gain

    This trail is ideal for a first-time cross-country skiing exploration tour, or for the more quite days during your winter holiday. With 5 km and a very flat trail profile, it is not too challenging, but even though it gives you the feeling of accomplishment.

    Mathon Loipe (Red)
    Length: 6 km | Total gradient: 60 hm
    With a length of 6 km, the Mathon trail leads you through the snowy landscape, with romantic clearings and past the Mathon wildlife park.

    Galtür Wirl Loipe (Rot)
    Length: 6,5 km | Total gradient: 110 hm
    The Galtür Wirl Trail, with its 6,5 km and minor elevation only demands medium standard of stamina and coordination.
